MIKU IS MISSING

Rafael, a roaming expat who refuses to admit he's lost distracts himself with romantic adventures in Central Europe. His ex has just broken up with him again, at the Prague zoo, when he meets three strangers, Milo, Sonia, and Jizelle, looking for a flatmate.

Rafael learns that his new roomies have more going on than their day jobs at a Bohemian glass shop, with their uncanny access to money and drugs. They also introduce him to the beautifully unhinged Arisawa.

When the Trio recruit him to drive to Paris with Arisawa, to deliver what they show to be invitation-only, luxury perfumes, the operation unfurls to reveal an elite, bio-existentialist cult that harvests "vibes" for their scents from Tokyo to Prague to Paris.

As his last ex would say, "If you're going through hell—keep going."

When Rafael enters the Maison Toyama-Beaumont, he joins the shadow-side of enlightenment. Because of his unique "resonance", he becomes the key to the cult's transcendence—or the arbiter of change the Maison cannot control.1
